Copyright and Pattern Use

Below is the statement I have in the front of most of my books. My intention here is to give my permission for you to go to the copy center and get copies made of  the patterns. I have not limited the number of copies that can be made. But I have granted permission for you to sell items made from these patterns.

I have not granted permission to sell or give away copies of these patterns.

I have not granted permission to make these items on large scale manufacturing type operations.

Permission is granted to make copies of the pattern templates from
this manual for personal use, but not patterns for resale.
You can sell the completed projects you make from this book.

In the clock manuals I have stated it a little different. My thoughts were a the time I made these plans that an individual should not need over 4 copies of the pattern to make the item. I does not say you cannot go to the copy center more than once and have 4 copies made per trip.

I have not granted permission to sell or give away copies of these patterns.

I have not granted permission to make these items on large scale manufacturing type operations.

Permission is granted to make up to 4 copies of the
pattern templates from this manual.
